PROTEST DOGS: Kanellos the "riot dog" inspires Greek protestors

Greeks protesting looming austerity cuts have an unlikely mascot - a dog known as Kanellos who seems to enjoy being at the center of the action.

He appears at most of the protests.  Some say it is actually more than one dog, which is more likely.  

The protest dogs "appear to be immune to the effects of tear gas, but are very frightened when riot police use stun grenades," the AP says.
