500 Years of Great Art by Women
Ever hear of Sofonisba Anguissola?
Few of us have.
She was a female artist from the early 1500s, a student of Michaelangelo, and painter of Spanish royalty. I just discovered her (and other women artists) in a great new book "13 Women Artists Children Should Know" .
The book includes well-known and lesser known women artists. I only wish these artists were mentioned to us in Art history!!
