Okay, it's time to review. How was your summer?
Well, I had a permanent "Staycation". Went nowhere... BUT I am proudest of growing strawberries, and tomatoes...
AND feeding and befriending some birds, squirrels and even the skunk who lives behind the tool shed. They were like my little friends.
Virginia, my partner, spent a lovely summer in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Unspoiled nature, with wolves, coyotes and beautiful scenery. (Virginia tell us more...)

Rita -- thanks for the reminder. Believe me, I gave the skunk a "wide berth". It's amazing how the skunk you described turned on the person who fed them. I basically just enjoyed watching the skunk scamper from my food to the back of the shed at night.

You may think squirrels and skunks are your friends, but do keep your distance. They can turn on you in a nanosecond. A friend of mine was dumb enough to start feeding a mama skunk and her babies, they would come up to his back door every day. Then one day, the mother skunk sprayed him!

I did a bit of travel (Quebec City, Vermont, NJ, Cape) but had a lot of staycation time too. Went biking around Boston a lot.
